Bears' Anthony Miller: Unclear future in Chicago

Chicago Bears chairman George McCaskey isn't sure if Anthony Miller will be on the team in 2021, Patrick Finley of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.Miller had a frustrating end to a disappointing season, getting ejected from the wild-card loss to New Orleans after he punched Saints defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson. McKaskey revealed that the team had a meeting to discuss Gardner-Johnson before the game, warning players not to respond to his antics the way fellow wideout Javon Wims did during the Week 8 matchup with New Orleans. Regardless, Miller ended up making the same mistake and was ejected in the third quarter of Chicago's season-ending loss. The 2018 second-round pick averaged just 3.1 catches for 30.3 yards per game during the regular season, and he didn't score a touchdown after Week 3. Miller has one year remaining on his rookie contract, but it sounds like the Bears might consider a trade or perhaps even an outright release.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Ejected from wild-card match

Anthony Miller has been ejected from Sunday's wild-card game against the Saints in the third quarter, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN.com reports.Miller was ejected as a result of shoving/punching Saints safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson. He had two catches (three targets) for 22 yards and one carry for two yards before leaving the field. The 2018 second-round pick had a chance to handle an increased role on offense with impressive rookie Darnell Mooney (ankle) sidelined, but instead Javon Wims will close out Sunday's game as the clear No. 2 option behind Allen Robinson.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Another uninspiring performance

Anthony Miller caught two passes for 13 yards in Chicago's 35-16 loss to the Packers on Sunday. After showing some signs of fantasy relevance in the middle portion of the season, Miller failed to reach 17 yards in any of the last four games, and he ended the season with 49 receptions for 485 yards and two touchdowns. After the Chicago Bears finish their playoff run, he'll enter the last year of his rookie deal, but he'll need to show significant improvement before being considered a reliable fantasy factor.

    Bears' Anthony Miller: Unimpressive performance

Anthony Miller caught two passes for 10 yards in Chicago's 41-17 victory over the Jaguars on Sunday.Miller was targeted just three times, and he failed to reach 17 yards for the third straight game. His lack of production over the last five games makes him a difficult player to trust in Week 17 against the Packers.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Nearly invisible in win

Anthony Miller caught one pass for 13 yards in Chicago's 33-27 victory over the Vikings on Sunday.Even though the Chicago Bears threw the football just 21 times in a game they led throughout, Miller was targeted just a single time, leading to his worst yardage total in eight games. He's been held to fewer than 30 yards in four of the last five games, making him a risky fantasy option in Week 16 despite a fantastic matchup against the Jaguars.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Targeted twice in victory

Anthony Miller caught two passes for 16 yards in Chicago's 36-7 win over the Texans on Sunday. While the game was in question, the passing attack focused on Allen Robinson and the tight ends, resulting in Miller seeing his fewest targets in any game this season. He's only posted more than 60 yards once over his last 12 games, and it's unlikely that he'll provide fantasy managers with significant upside during the playoffs.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Solid performance in defeat

Anthony Miller caught five passes for 56 yards in Chicago's 34-30 loss to the Lions on Sunday.Miller caught each of his five targets, as he consistently had plenty of open space in the middle of the field. However, because the Chicago Bears were winning for the majority this contest, they were fairly balanced between rushing and passing attempts, potentially keeping Miller from seeing additional targets. He's posted at least 56 yards in three of the last five games while averaging eight targets over the last four weeks, and he should be a solid floor option with limited upside in the fantasy playoffs.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Comes up small in defeat

Anthony Miller caught three passes for 28 yards in Chicago's 41-25 loss to the Packers on Sunday.Miller was mostly quiet until the game was out of hand, resulting in only six targets and a modest amount of yardage. He's been targeted at least five times in the majority of games this season, but he's surpassed 28 yards only twice over his last eight contests. Unless his role in the offense becomes more consistent, he'll be a tough player to trust in fantasy lineups.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Targeted seven times

Anthony Miller caught two passes on seven targets for 28 yards in Chicago's 19-13 loss to Minnesota on Monday.Although Miller was second on the team in targets, Nick Foles was under heavy pressure throughout the game, and the passing attack was barely able to crack 100 yards. However, Miller was targeted on a deep route late in the fourth quarter that could've resulted in a score, but the ball was slightly overthrown. Although he hasn't been a strong performer this season, he's been targeted 26 times over the last three games, and his volume makes him a player who could emerge as a solid flex option down the stretch.

Bears' Anthony Miller: Continues to see volume

Anthony Miller caught five passes for 59 yards in the Chicago Bears' 24-17 loss to the Titans on Sunday. With the Bears falling behind by double digits in the first half, Nick Foles threw the ball a season-high 52 times, which resulted in Miller seeing eight targets on his way to his second straight productive performance, though he lost a fumble as the team was trying to mount a late comeback. He's started to come on over the last two weeks after averaging fewer than 20 yards over the previous six games, and he may be worth adding to fantasy rosters for depth purposes.
