  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Struggles in seventh NFL season

Jackson registered 63 tackles (49 solo) and eight pass defenses, including an interception that he returned for a touchdown, over 14 games during the 2023 season. Though Jackson's tackle total was his highest since 2018, the veteran cornerback finished in the bottom third of the league at his position with a 43.9 PFF coverage grade. He did manage to score his first career touchdown on a pick-six Week 16 against the Eagles, but that personal highlight hardly made up for his deficiencies in coverage. Jackson has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career -- his 14 contests this season actually marked his highest total since 2018 -- and New York has a pair of promising young cornerbacks in Deonte Banks and Cor'Dale Flott. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising to see Jackson, whose contract includes a 2024 void year, to be with another organization next season.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Decent showing in loss

Jackson recorded seven tackles (five solo) and a forced fumble in Sunday's 26-25 loss versus the Rams. Jackson's tackle total was his second highest of the season, but his performance in Week 17 was marred by an 80-yard catch and run he ceded to Puka Nacua in the middle of the third quarter. The Giants will play host to A.J. Brown and the Eagles in Week 18.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Practices in full

Jackson (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports. The 28-year-old cornerback was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury that he likely picked up Christmas Day, but it seems as if he's already been able to move past the issue. Jackson has served as the Giants' top cornerback this year, and in his 12 appearances, he's tallied 49 total tackles, seven pass deflections and one pick-six.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Nursing ankle injury

Jackson (ankle) was a limited participant at the Giants' walkthrough practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson led the Giants' corners in snaps during Monday's loss at Philadelphia, and it's not clear when he picked up the ankle issue. Either way, he'll likely need to upgrade to full participation Thursday or Friday to avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Notches pick-six in Week 16 loss

Jackson registered four tackles (all solo) and returned an interception for a touchdown in Monday's loss to Philadelphia. With the Eagles up 10 points and in field-goal range late in the third quarter, Jackson temporarily shifted the momentum with an interception of Jalen Hurts that he took 76 yards for a score. It was the first touchdown and just the fourth interception of Jackson's seven-year career, though it wasn't enough for New York to pull off a victory. The veteran cornerback has missed three games due to injury this season, but if he can remain healthy for the Giants' final two contests, he'll finish with his most games played since 2018.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Questionable for Sunday vs. Jets

Jackson (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Jets, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Jackson is in jeopardy of missing his second straight game as he tends to a neck injury he sustained in Week 6 at Buffalo. If he sits out, rookie first-rounder Deonte Banks would project as the Giants' top cover corner for Week 8.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Not listed on injury report

Jackson doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Vikings, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Per Leonard, the Giants don't have any players listed as out, doubtful or questionable, so they should be at full strength for their first playoff matchup since 2016. Jackson hasn't played since Week 11 due to a sprained MCL, so it's unclear how effective he'll be Sunday. Nonetheless, the presence of their top cornerback should be a major boost to the Giants' secondary for a matchup against Justin Jefferson and the Vikings' offense.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Availability in question Sunday

Jackson (knee) logged a limited practice Wednesday. Jackson said he was not sure he'd be able to play, according to Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com. The 27-year-old hasn't played since Week 11 against the Lions when he suffered a sprained MCL. However, he has been practicing in a limited fashion since the team prepped for Week 17. If he can return for the wild-card round against the Vikings on Sunday, it'd certainly be a boon for the team's secondary.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Not playing Sunday

Jackson (knee) is inactive Sunday against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Jackson's inability to suit up doesn't come as a surprise, considering he was doubtful coming into Sunday. Also, with the team locked into the No. 6 seed of the NFC playoffs, there is little reason for them to get him back onto the field for their regular-season finale. He'll work to be ready to play next weekend in the wild-card round.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Suffers MCL sprain

Jackson (knee) suffered an MCL sprain in Sunday's 31-18 loss to the Lions and is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jackson went down with a knee injury when returning a punt in the first half of Sunday's contest and it has now been determined to be an MCL sprain. The timetable leaves a little room for the cornerback to return late in the season, but his absence will likely have a large impact on the Giants' secondary for the time being. With the team set to play on Thanksgiving Day versus the Cowboys, Nick McCloud and Cor'Dale Flott could step into more substantial roles.

Jackson (knee) underwent X-rays that came back clean following Sunday's game against the Lions, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Jackson was shaken up on a punt return in the first half of Sunday's matchup, and the team fears that he's sustained a sprained MCL that will force him to miss 3-to-5 weeks. While it's somewhat encouraging that his X-rays came back clean, the 2017 first-rounder will undergo an MRI that should reveal a better diagnosis of any ligament damage.

Jackson was forced out of Week 12's game against the Eagles in the first quarter, but it looks like he's at least avoided a serious injury. The Giants will monitor the starting cornerback's activity in practice this week before making a final decision about his availability.

  • Giants' Adoree' Jackson: Ruled out Sunday

Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Eagles, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Jackson left the game in the first quarter, and the injury turned out to be serious enough to prevent him from returning. This is worrisome for the Giants since they also lost Darnay Holmes (chest) to injury, which will likely translate into a bigger role for Aaron Robinson.
