Bills' Devin Singletary: Handles some first-team snaps

Devin Singletary rotated in with the first-team offense during the offseason program, Nate Mendelson of the Buffalo Bills' official website reports.LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore also got work with the starters, while T.J. Yeldon curiously isn't mentioned, though he'll at least have a shot to win a role on passing downs. Bills general manager Brandon Beane has made multiple comments about McCoy retaining the starting job, and while that may ultimately be the case, the Bills could be headed for some type of committee as opposed to McCoy doing nearly all the work, as has happened in the past. It isn't quite clear how the team might use Singletary, a 203-pound rookie who ran a 4.66 40-yard dash at the combine. Few running backs with his size/speed profile have found NFL success, but a college career with 66 rushing touchdowns in three seasons was enough to convince the Bills he's worthy of a third-round pick.

    Bills' Devin Singletary: Buffalo bound

The Buffalo Bills selected Devin Singletary in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, 74th overall. The man nicknamed "Motor" adds some much-needed youth to a Buffalo backfield headlined by LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore. Singletary's production at Florida Atlantic is second to none compared to his fellow running backs in this class. He racked up 66 career rushing touchdowns in three seasons, highlighted by a 32-touchdown campaign in 2017. Singletary (5-foot-7, 203 pounds) uses his low center of gravity to his advantage and is tough for opposing defenses to find in the backfield. He will have to fight for carries early in his career as long as McCoy, For and T.J. Yeldon are in the fold, but the backfield could be Singletary's by 2020.
