Makar posted an assist and three shots on goal in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Blues.

The star defenseman's first point of the year was a secondary helper on J.T. Compher's third-period goal. Makar has added six shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots through two games, but the Avalanche's dangerous power play has yet to convert. That's where Makar can do a lot of his scoring, as 22 of his 44 points last season came with the man advantage. Despite a somewhat slow start, fantasy managers have little to worry about with the Alberta native -- his offense will be just fine over the course of a full season.
