Makar scored an overtime goal to give Colorado a 4-3 win over Chicago. He also had four shots, one hit and one blocked shot.
The defenseman circled behind the Blackhawks' net to the side boards, recognized the man marking him overcommitted, then quickly did a spin-o-rama toward the net and went forehand-backhand to beat Marc-Andre Fleury. The game-winning goal, Makar's fourth of the season, gives him 14 tallies in 25 games.
