Wood missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports.
Wood's illness will keep him off the ice for a day or two. The 29-year-old winger should be cleared to return in the near future, perhaps as soon as Friday's preseason game versus the Stars.
