Zadorov inked a two-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Friday that's worth $2.15 million annually, Piere LeBrun of TSN reports.

Although Zadorov frequently brings the boom to the ice, with just 10 points in 56 games last season and a career-high mark of just 15 points, he hasn't proven useful from a fantasy standpoint beyond his physicality. Still just 22, the youngster has displayed some offensive promise in the minors, but there's nothing suggesting he will blossom at the NHL level this season on a lackluster Avalanche squad.
