Avalanche's Shane Bowers: Placed on waivers Saturday

Bowers has been put on waivers Saturday, per CapFriendly.

Bowers was hoping to make the Avalanche as a bottom-six forward, but failed to do so in trading camp. He was a late first-round pick of the Avs in 2017. Bowers has yet to play a game in the NHL and will begin the season in the AHL if he passes through waivers.
