Barrie, who has withdrawn from the IIHF Championship, sustained a laceration to his leg as a result of wrestling a teammate off the ice, The Denver Post reports.

The mobile defenseman backing out of the tournament is old news at this point, but it's worth noting that he went from having the ambiguous 'lower-body' injury tag to the cut and dried 'leg laceration' designation. It's an unfortunate development for Barrie, especially since he still ranks fifth in the international tournament with seven points (two goals, five assists) in three games.
