Morris signed a one-year deal with Chicago and was subsequently assigned to the team's taxi squad Friday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.
Marc-Andre Fleury and Kevin Lankinen are both in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols, so Morris will join the Blackhawks as an emergency option behind Collin Delia and Arvid Soderblom. Morris has gone 6-5-2 while posting a 2.82 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 14 ECHL appearances this season.
