Slavin was recalled from AHL Rockford on Monday.
Slavin landed an entry-level deal in March after finishing up his two-year career at Colorado College. The 22-year-old has eight points through 15 AHL games this season. He is the younger brother of Hurricanes blueliner Jaccob Slavin.
