Lankinen came off the bench to stop 15 of 16 shots in a 5-2 loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday.

Lankinen entered the game at 11:25 of the first period after the Penguins had already put four goals past starter Marc-Andre Fleury. The only goal allowed by Lankinen came off the stick of Jason Zucker during a delayed penalty late in the second period. Lankinen and Fleury have combined for a sluggish .857 save percentage through the first three games of the season and it's not yet known who will get the start Tuesday at home against the Islanders.
