Sweezey was recalled from AHL Cleveland on Saturday.
The Blue Jackets are hurting on the blue line with Zach Werenski (shoulder), Jake Bean (shoulder), Adam Boqvist (foot) and Nick Blankenburg (ankle) all out of action. Sweezey has five assists and 22 PIM in 14 games with Cleveland in 2022-23.
