Tarasov has been promoted to the Blue Jackets, according to Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.
Tarasov's promotion shouldn't be surprising, as he was promoted due to the fact that Joonas Korpisalo is in the league's COVID-19 protocols. The Blue Jackets are scheduled to return to play Dec. 28 at Chicago, but it remains to be seen if Tarasov will be a starter or a backup.
