Carlsson was placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocols Sunday, Blue Jackets team reporter Jeff Svoboda reports.
Carlsson will need to submit two negative COVID-19 rests before rejoining the Blue Jackets, so he'll miss Monday's matchup with Buffalo at a minimum. Jake Christiansen will likely get the first crack at replacing Carlsson in the lineup versus the Sabres.
