Christiansen was reassigned to AHL Cleveland on Sunday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
Christiansen's demotion suggests Adam Boqvist (upper body) or Dean Kukan (wrist) may be ready to return Monday versus Buffalo. Christiansen's racked up 18 points through 21 AHL appearances this season.
