Scandella (lower body) tested his injury Thursday, which didn't go as hoped according to head coach Craig Berube and could still be out a while, Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Considering Scandella has already missed two games and won't be available versus Montreal on Thursday, he is definitely a candidate to be placed on injured reserve in order to free up a spot on the 23-man roster. Even once cleared to play, the veteran defenseman is far from an offensive powerhouse considering he has just one goal in 45 appearances this season and will be hard-pressed to crack the 20-point threshold.
