Blues' Zachary Sanford: Leaves game Saturday, returns

Sanford was forced to leave Saturday's game during the first period after he was the object of a boarding penalty, but later returned following a period of observation, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. He finished with one missed shot over 6:56 of ice time in a 3-0 road win over Arizona.

The boarding penalty was deemed worthy enough for a five-minute penalty and a game misconduct for the Coyotes' Anthony DeAngelo. Sanford had some momentum after scoring a goal in the Blues' previous game, but his health will be factor leading up to the next game Tuesday in Colorado.
