The Flames released Ritchie from his professional tryout agreement Tuesday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Ritchie spent just a few days with the team before being cut loose. The 27-year-old winger isn't currently on the taxi squad, either, but he may be brought back for veteran depth. After all, the Ontario native has 268 NHL games on his resume.
