Czarnik was made a healthy scratch for Monday's 4-1 win over the Jets, the Boston Herald reports.

In advance of Monday's game, coach Claude Julien noted that he didn't think Czarnik had been quite the same player since returning from a concussion he suffered in Boston's preseason finale. Through two games, Czarnik has no points and a minus-3 rating. On Monday, he was replaced in the lineup by Tim Schaller. For his part, Czarnik -- who brought impressive energy and skill to the table during the preseason -- acknowledged that he'd been "overthinking things a lot in the first couple of games," adding that he "need(s) to get back to playing my own game, working hard and making plays. Personally, I think I've been thinking too much defensively and not focusing on my game. I just have to stay with myself, go with what I'm good at and move forward."
