McAvoy (upper body) got some stitches after he was boarded by Zemgus Girgensons in Wednesday's game versus the Sabres. He is expected to be fine, per head coach Bruce Cassidy.
McAvoy was crushed in the third period and didn't return to the contest, but it doesn't appear this will be a long-term issue. Fantasy managers will want to double-check on McAvoy's status ahead of Friday's 1:00 p.m. Eastern start time against the Rangers.
