Studnicka is slated to begin Wednesday's game against the Panthers centering Taylor Hall and Charlie Coyle on the Bruins' second line, Eric Russo of the team's official site reports.

It's an opportunity created by the absence of Craig Smith (undisclosed), who's also in line to miss Thursday's contest against Carolina. Studnicka saw time manning the middle of Boston's second line during the preseason while Coyle was sidelined and held his own in the process. Though the 22-year-old has been limited to a goal and four points in 23 NHL games to date, Studnicka's looming move up the lineup makes him worth a look in deeper leagues and in DFS lineups.
