Gallagher filled in on the top line Saturday against the Rangers after Montreal scratched Alexander Radulov with a lower-body injury. He had three shots, three hits and a minor penalty over 18:05 of ice time in a 4-1 victory.
If the Radulov injury lingers, Gallagher's value will rise if he remains on the top line, which has been the only unit that coach Claude Julien has been able to count on for consistent scoring.
