Drouin tallied a goal on two shots and dished out a team-leading five hits Wednesday in a 2-1 loss to Toronto.

Drouin opened the scoring 7:22 into the game, finishing off a Josh Anderson 2-on-1 feed for his first goal since last February. Drouin who played the left side on the Canadiens' second line with Anderson and center Christian Dvorak, also logged 3:41 of power-play time, tops among Montreal forwards. It was an encouraging start for the 26-year-old, who scored just twice in 44 games last season.
