Slafkovsky left practice Friday after injuring his left shoulder, according to Patrick Friolet of RDS.ca.
Slafkovsky is off to a good start in 2024-25, scoring once and adding three assists in five appearances. He is playing on the top line, alongside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, as well as averaging 4:45 of ice time on the top power play. Should Slafkovsky be unavailable for Saturday's game against the Islanders, look for Joel Armia or Alex Newhook to move up to the first line.
