Canadiens' Mitchell Stephens: Hits waivers

Stephens was placed on waivers Monday.

Stephens has chipped in two goals, one assist and 16 shots on net in 23 NHL outings this season. If he clears, Stephens will probably be sent down to the minors. That could pave the way for Tanner Pearson's return to the lineup from an upper-body injury.
