Montembeault will start between the pipes Thursday against the Hurricanes.
Montembeault has started seven contests for the Canadiens this season and holds a 1-4-2 record with a 4.04 GAA and a .887 save percentage. In light of Cayden Primeau's COVID-19 diagnosis, Montembeault remains the only option for Montreal between the pipes.
