The 23-year-old played in 71 games last season and posted three goals and 24 points, but he ended up with a minus-16 rating. Stecher is an effective defenseman on the power play, yet he is on the bubble of being the seventh man out of the six-man defensive rotation. Regardless, if he continues production like this, expect him to have a good shot at securing a full-time roster spot.
