Samsonov has enjoyed his two starts in California, turning aside 56 shots without allowing a goal in those contests. He's up to a career-high three shutouts in just eight appearances this year. The Russian netminder improved to 6-0-1 with a 2.11 GAA and a .924 save percentage. Head coach Peter Laviolette probably won't mind having to choose between two effective goalies -- look for Vitek Vanecek to start Sunday in Seattle as the Capitals wrap up a road trip.
