Samsonov will get the first half of Washington's back-to-back slate this weekend, with Vitek Vanecek likely to go Saturday against the Devils. With just a handful of games on tap for Friday, fantasy managers don't have a plethora of alternative starters, but it's worth noting that the 25-year-old has been scuffling of late with a 3.31 GAA and .895 save percentage behind a 5-4-1 record in his last 12 starts and is facing a suddenly hot Sabres team that has won five out of their last six contests.
