Sgarbossa tallied a goal and two shots during Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Canadiens.
Sgarbossa was recalled in the face of a worsening injury situation to Washington's forward ranks and paid immediate dividends. The 29-year-old has been a solid depth player for the organization but is likely headed back to the minors once Conor Sheary (lower body), Lars Eller (COVID-19 protocols), or T.J. Oshie (lower body) return to the lineup and therefore has very limited fantasy value in the short term.
