Grubauer is available to be drafted by Vegas, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.
First things first, if Vegas doesn't pick up Grubauer, there's no guarantee he stays with the Caps. He's a restricted free agent this offseason, meaning he could sign with another team if Washington fails to match an offer. The 25-year-old backstop is on a lot of mock draft boards after playing 24 games this season, posting an impressive .926 save percentage and a 2.04 GAA. At a measly $750,000 cap hit, Grubauer could be the young goaltender Vegas sees its future with.
