Capitals' Philipp Grubauer: Exposed for expansion draft

Grubauer is available to be drafted by Vegas, Isabelle Khurshudyan of The Washington Post reports.

He's a restricted free agent this offseason, meaning he could sign with another team if Washington fails to match an offer. The 25-year-old backstop is on a lot of mock draft boards after playing 24 games this season, posting an impressive .926 save percentage and a 2.04 GAA. At a measly $750,000 cap hit, Grubauer could be the young goaltender Vegas sees its future with.
