Boyd scored a goal on two shots, added a pair of assists and blocked two shots in Friday's 6-5 overtime win over the Ducks.
Boyd opened the scoring at 2:46 of the first period, which was just the first tally of a back-and-forth contest. He also set up goals by Andrew Ladd and Phil Kessel in the third period. Boyd continues to enjoy the best scoring pace of his career with seven tallies, six assists, 24 shots on net and a minus-6 rating in 22 contests. He's produced two multi-point efforts this year.
