Krejci announced Friday that he would head back to his native Czech Republic to play, ending his NHL career.

Krejci was selected by the Bruins in the second round of the 2004 NHL Draft and went on to play in 962 regular-season games for the club over his 15-year NHL career in which he tallied 215 goals and 515 assists. The 35-year-old center logged another 156 playoff contests, lifting Lord Stanley's Cup in 2011. Krejci didn't say where in the Czech Republic he might play, though he did suit up for Pardubice HC during the 2012-13 lockout.
