Palmieri picked up a power-play assist in Tuesday's home opener against the Ducks, helping out on Taylor Hall's game-winner in the second period.

After a bust-out season in which Palmieri set personal bests in practically every category, the Devils signed him up to a five-year deal. He's not currently getting as much exposure to Hall as you'd like, as Palmieri's skating on the second line and mostly encountering his star teammate on the power play, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see the two paired together on the top trio before too long.
