Larsson had surgery in the offseason to repair damage to his knee and will be monitored at the start of training camp, according to general manager Bob Murray.

Larsson tallied five points in 29 outings with Frolunda HC last season and could have a shot at making the Ducks' Opening Night roster after shoulder injuries to both Hampus Lindholm and Sami Vatanen. Even with both players sidelined, Anaheim could determine it is worthwhile to send the 20-year-old back to Sweden for another year to continue developing his game.
