Vatanen is on pace to reach a new career high in points this season with 40.
After 41 games this season, Vatanen has collected five goals and fifteen assists. His 20 points currently put him third on the Ducks in scoring. After a slow October offensively, Vatanen has been remarkably consistent in hitting the scoresheet, not going more than three games without a point since the beginning of November. Vatanen has also experienced a slight spike in minutes since Cam Fowler went down with a knee injury, and given his two and a half minutes of power play time per game, he will have ample opportunity to continue scoring at his current rate.
