Markstrom is set to start Thursday's road clash with the Sabres, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.
Markstrom has just one victory in his previous six appearances despite posting a solid 2.32 GAA. During that stretch, the 31-year-old Swede has managed to secure three additional points for his club with overtime defeats. If Markstrom can get some offensive support versus Buffalo, he should be capable of getting back into the win column based on his recent form.
