Bahl (lower body) skated with the team Friday for the first time since training camp began last week, according to Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan.
Bahl seems to be making progress in his recovery, but it's currently unclear if he'll be able to get into any preseason action. The 24-year-old is expected to play an integral role for Calgary after being traded by the Devils in the Jacob Markstrom deal. Bahl could push for a top-four spot on Calgary's blue line, but he'll have competition in the form of Jake Bean (undisclosed). Bahl recorded 11 points while playing in all 82 regular-season contests with New Jersey in 2023-24.
