Flyers' Boyd Gordon: Sent to IR

Gordon (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

In a corresponding transaction, the Flyers activated winger Michael Raffl (abdomen) ahead of Thursday's contest against the Islanders. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare has been filling in for Gordon, though he's the inferior option in the faceoff circle.
