Flyers' Wayne Simmonds: Snaps six-game drought with three-point effort

Simmonds had two goals and an assist in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Rangers. The points halt a six-game scoring drought.

He also fired a game-high five shots on Antti Raanta. Simmonds' first goal stood as the winner and his second went into the empty net. This little outburst gets him to up to a 17-goal, 40-point pace and that's a disappointment given his 28-goal, 55-point average over his last two years. The Flyers are 3-1 over the last four games with wins over Carolina, NY Rangers and Nashville. There could be a Simmonds surge on the horizon.
