Gunler signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Hurricanes on Wednesday.
Carolina selected Gunler with the 41st overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old winger has spent the 2021-22 campaign with Brynas IF of the SHL, picking up 13 goals and 23 points through 52 contests. Gunler will likely get an invite from the Hurricanes for next season's training camp, but he'll probably begin the year with AHL Charlotte.
