The islanders demoted Czarnik to the taxi squad Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
The 28-year-old suited up in game action for the second time this season Monday against Buffalo, going pointless across 9:11 of ice time. Czarnik will have another chance to suit up in Thursday's game against Boston, but he'll need to be added to the active roster in order to do so.
