Thiesing inked a two-year, entry level contract with the Islanders on Friday.
The contract will begin at the start of the 2024-25 campaign. The undrafted forward played three seasons at Ohio State University, scoring nine times while adding seven assists in 31 games in 2023-24. He'll likely sign an amateur tryout offer with AHL Bridgeport and finish out the campaign in the minors.
