Prokhorov agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level contract with the Islanders on Tuesday.

Prokhorov had just signed a two-year, two-way contract in the KHL, but according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com, that deal included an NHL out clause that has now been triggered. At this point, the 18-year-old winger is expected to link up with OHL Sarnia for the upcoming campaign, but he could get a look during training camp.
