Fasching is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports Friday.
Fasching's injury comes at an inopportune time -- the 29-year-old is fighting to make New York's crowded roster. The right-shot forward appeared in 45 regular-season games for the Islanders in 2023-24, registering 14 points and a minus-7 rating in that span. Fasching will continue to compete for a bottom-six role when he returns to full health.
