Sorokin turned aside 31 shots in regulation and overtime but only one of three shootout attempts in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights.
The second-year netminder looked like he was headed for his eighth win of the season until Shea Theodore ripped a puck past him from the point with just 48 seconds left in the third period to tie the score at 3-3. Sorokin then came up short in the shootout, leaving him with a 7-7-5 record on the season that doesn't do justice to his 2.49 GAA and .926 save percentage.
