Sorokin will get the starting nod for Thursday's game in Columbus, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.

With Semyon Varlamov (undisclosed) still on injured reserve, Sorokin will make his fourth straight start to begin the 2021-22 campaign. The 26-year-old gave up 10 goals in his first two appearances but looked terrific in his last outing, stopping 39 of 40 shots and earning his first win. For the year, Sorokin is sporting an unsightly .899 save percentage.
