Beaulieu logged a shorthanded assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Avalanche.
Beaulieu earned just his second point of the season, and it was in his second game back from a lower-body injury. The defenseman is more of a physical presence than a scorer. He's picked up 17 blocked shots, 10 hits, 23 PIM and a minus-10 rating in 21 contests. He shouldn't be expected to see more than a third-pairing role.
