Laferriere altered the trajectory of a Jordan Spence shot from the point that turned out to be the game-winner. It was the third goal in the last three appearances for Laferriere, who scored 12 times in 81 regular-season games during his rookie season in 2023-24. He opened the season on the first line but was dropped to third-line winger as part of head coach Jim Hiller's line tweaks.
